Tasting Notes: Luscious yet tart peach, cherry, and rhubarb all seem suffused with salt, crushed stone, and shrimp shell. Savor in this bright, invigorating, irresistibly enticing and far from simple Riesling. Hints of inner mouth floral perfume and the piquancy of peach pit add further depth to what has consistently counted as among the worlds most remarkable Riesling values.
Galaxy Notes: MEDIUM SWEET 4.1% Residual Sugar (41g/L) Single Vineyard bottling from Rüdesheimer Drachenstein ("dragonstone"). Coming from the Rüdesheimer Drachenstein, the pure quartzite soil, being a silicate, lends a saltiness to the orange citrus-flavored wine which buffers the acidity and counterbalances the palpable sugar.
